Online Storage for Macs
Fact is, with broadband or ADSL or whatever you call it where you live, we do more and more with the net-based applications as opposed to leaving everything on the desktop - (which can’t be making Microsoft the happiest of companies).
IDrive, the online storage people, have now introduced an online backup service for Macs. For the free deal, you get up to 2GB of disk space, which will be enough to store a fair few photos and media files. The premium package, ‘unlimited storage space’, is available for $4.95 per month, with the standard fair usage conditions of the service applying - the same price and options as with Windows. For both options an SSL connection looks after the security of file transfer.
Well, they always say that Macs would be just as ‘good’ as Windows if only more people used them - the idea being that the services and community infrastructure would arrive naturally - here’s one example of that…
