WordPress as Mini-me

So, Technorati has left the Dashboard - not many tears to be shed for that, I have never quite understood the allure that Technorati exerts (exherted) - to be replaced by Google Blogsearch, with an interesting _GET url.

Why just one partner? For those that want this sort of thing, why not a poll of 1 or many blog services to produce citations, mixed and matched to the user’s specification

And, slightly mischeviously,  do you ever get the impression of WordPress acting as misbegotten Mini-me to the 2 Doctor Evils?
